Playstaion 3 80GB Reviews

playstation 3 80gb review, having now owned 5 xbox360s and having every single one of them break down on me after 1 month of owning i decided to take the plunge and go for the ps3, and boy am i glad i did, this machine is simply fantastic in every aspect, yes its been stripped down, but still with what you get it already is a real rival to the 360 and will soon overtake the 360 as the main console kids and adults alike will want, the ps3 games are growing and though short of the 360s there is plenty out there to keep you going, online play isnt as good as the 360 yet, but it is improving, all in all i cant find fault with anything about this console, there is no way i would ever dream of going back to the 360, doingg so would be like playing russian roulette as to weather it breaks down or not, iv owned 5 and each one has stopped recognising disks after a month of purchase, the ps3 never breaks down, doesnt over heat like the 360-or frying pan whichever you prefer to call it.

playstation 3 80GB - Reviews

The good: Swanky design with quiet operation; all games in high-definition; PSP-like easy-to-use interface; plays Profile 2.0 high-definition Blu-ray movies in addition to upscaling standard DVDs; built-in Wi-Fi and flash media reader; 80GB hard drive; online play is free; HDMI output with 1080p support; no external power supply; free online gaming service; plays most PS2 and all PS1 games.
The bad: A USB port on the back would've been nice; no infrared port means non-Bluetooth universal remotes aren't compatible; glossy black finish is a fingerprint magnet; online gaming, media, and commerce options not nearly as developed as Xbox Live.
The bottom line: A handful of notable upgrades from the entry-level model, the 80GB PS3 is superb Blu-ray player and high-definition game console.

playstation 3 80gb review. Blu-ray playback -- the biggest reason to get a PS3 at this moment
- Its smaller chance of breaking (compared to the 360s annoying red ring of death and Sony's last predecessor, the PS2 slim)

I own GT5 Prolouge and Fifa 08 (both awesome games even without HDTV amazing graphics). They both require me to update to do online and generally improve game. games better with update although for every game update took about 3gb of storage plus 9 GB system update required to create online account. Game progress saving takes hardly anything plus PS3 80GB comes with dualshock controller - much better i am told. THE PLAYSTATION 3 80gb IS THE BEST!
